We have extensive expertise in the field of public procurement and are experienced in all awarding procedures regulated by the EU Public Procurement Directives and in the national regulations governing the award of public contracts in Greece.

Our work covers:

  • advising awarding authorities in matters relating to the preparation and award of  public contracts
  • providing legal opinions on all aspects of public procurement procedure
  • assisting bidding parties
  • representing clients before the competent courts in disputes arising from tender procedures and the execution of public contracts.

Recent cases include:

  • advising a state-owned enterprise, in its capacity as awarding authority, in respect of the execution of a public contract for the provision of maintenance services and technical support services for the operation of sports venues and relevant ancillary buildings
  • advising and drafting the tender documents forthe same state-owned enterprise, in its capacity as awarding authority for the award of a second public contract for maintenance services and technical support services for the operation of sports venues and relevant ancillary buildings
  • advising and drafting the tender documents for the same state-owned enterprise, in its capacity as awarding authority and for the award of security services
  • advising a consortium of German architectural, engineering and technical consulting companies on their participation in a public tender procedure launched by the Athens International Airport for a detailed design study for a multi-storey car parking facility
  • representing a group of telecommunications and market research companies before the Council of State and the competent civil courts in disputes arising from their participation in a tender procedure for the award of a services contract with a budget of some €15 million.
