We advise foreign and local companies on the provision of services through electronic means, the minimum legal content of websites, IP rights related to websites, data and consumer protection, e-commerce and on-line gaming.

We have particular expertise in the operation of the on-line gaming sector including:

  • drafting of agreements with marketing partners and providers of on-line services
  • advice on licensing procedures.

In addition, on behalf of our clients we are actively involved in the consultation procedure for on-line gaming legislation currently being prepared by the Greek government. This work has included extensive elaboration of the draft law.

We track all new developments in the information technologies sector closely, especially in respect of the internet and mobile telephony, and are one of the leading law firms in Greece with in-depth knowledge of and involvement in the Information Society.

Other work includes:

  • in 2007-2009 advising the Hellenic Republic on the privatisation of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation S.A. (OTE) including the conclusion of a share purchase agreement and a shareholders agreement between the Hellenic Republic and Deutsche Telekom AG. The firm provided broad range legal advice on this matter including, inter alia, on several major regulatory and competition issues
  • conducting a detailed legal due diligence of a Greek telecommunication company with a view to its listing on the Athens Exchange and assessing all relevant regulatory issues
  • providing legal advice to foreign private equity funds on commercial, regulatory and lending issues and financing restructuring measures in relation to one of the major private telecommunication companies in Greece.
