T&P contributes Greece Chapter to ICLG Mergers &Acquisitions Laws and Regulations 2023
Co-authored by T&P’s Ms. Anna Apostolaki and Dr. Kanellos Klamaris
We are pleased to share that Tsibanoulis & Partners (“T&P”) has contributed the Greece Chapter in the ICLG Mergers & Acquisitions 2023. Ms. Anna Apostolaki, Partner and Co-Head of the Corporate and M&A Department, and Dr. Kanellos Klamaris, Senior Associate, have co-authored the Chapter.
The M&A #Greece Chapter gives a high-level overview of general legal and regulatory issues including corporate entities and acquisitions methods, preliminary agreements, employees, main documents and other issues typically relevant to M&A transactions.
T&P has a strong offering in core corporate practices fielding one of the most experienced teams in Greece that acts on domestic and cross-border transactions. The firm is uniquely placed to advise multinational companies and foreign banks and other businesses with their investments in Greece. We also advice domestic companies on achieving their international business goals.
“We are seeing an increase in the volume and value of cross-border private M&A transactions both by high and smaller scale acquirers. M&A activity is becoming a global game, and Greece’s equity environment is favorable,” said Ms. Apostolaki, referring to the new Greek legal framework imbuing M&A and to the various incentives given by the lawmakers to enhance the M&A activity in Greece.
“Organic growth is increasingly challenged therefore companies are looking for external sources of growth,” said Dr. Klamaris. “Strategic thinkers resort to M&A for diversification and capability building and, at the end of the day, for improving the position of their business in a volatile market. We advise companies through the full cycle of a corporate deal, starting with the basics (i.e. negotiations or due diligence) through to providing guidance on spinning off assets, acquiring or selling assets and shares or on business restructuring and on to helping our clients run their business once the deal is done,” he added.
T&P’s Corporate and M&A practice provides advice of the highest quality, enabling clients to achieve their business goals.
