The Hellenic Association for Financial Law (AEDBF Greece) organizes an academic conference titled:

“The Impact of New Technologies on the Development and Provision of Financial Services”.

The conference is part of the 2024 Athens Money Show and takes place on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 16:00–18:00 at the Marriott Athens Hotel (Chios Hall).

Under his capacity as President of AEDBF Greece, our Managing Partner, Dr. Dimitris Tsibanoulis will make the General Introduction to the thematic of the conference. He will also chair the first panel on: “New technologies and financial instrument markets” and moderate the discussion of the following prominent speakers:

• Dr. Ioannis Revolidis, Lecturer, University of Malta Law School, Department of Media, Communications, and Technology Law, Centre for Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT)
• Marie Markosian, Auditor of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, Research Associate of a Member of the European Parliament
• Spiros Tassis Lawyer, Chairman of the Data Protection and Privacy Committee, Partner POTAMITISVEKRIS

The second panel on “Artificial Intelligence and the Fight Against Fraud” will be chaired by Dr. Ilias Anagnostopoulos, emeritus Professor of Law at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and Chairman of the Hellenic Criminal Law Association. This panel includes the following speakers: 

• Sotiris Bersimis, Professor, Department of Business Administration, University of Piraeus
• Vassilis Plagianakos, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly
• Dimitra Lingri, Lawyer, Managing Director of EHFCN (European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network) and member of the Board of Directors HTAi (Health Technology Assessment International)
