Following political agreement reached in December 2023, the 27 EU member states have unanimously endorsed the EU AI Act. The Act’s technical refinemsent to tackle its complexity lasted more than a month, with reservations initially lingering among member states due to the limited time for analysis. However, these concerns were resolved, and the AI Act was adopted by the Committee of Permanent Representatives on 2 February 2024.
