The long-awaited Presidential Decree no. 75 regulating the use of surveillance systems in public spaces has been finally published on 10.9.2020 (G.G. 173/10.9.2020). This Presidential Decree has been issued following the article 14 of Law 3917/2011, and applies in all surveillance systems (video and/or audio-recording or monitoring) installed in public spaces, to the extent that they process personal data.

The new Greek trademark law was published in the government gazette on March 20, 2020. For its most part it entered into force upon publication, with some provisions having retroactive effect from 14.1.2019. Besides the implementation of all TM Directive 2546/2015 provisions, the new law introduces also the abolishment of relevant grounds ex officio examination and a new procedure for appeals against cancellation and revocation actions, as well as counterclaims against national marks in the course of infringement proceedings.
